Hi there. First off, love your game, so fun! I have run into a bug however. I am on the last marked dot on the map, at an area where the checkpoint is about 1200 meters away, and you have to rely on bumps in the ground to reach it. I can make it fine, but when I touch the checkpoint, I pass right through it. The game doesn’t recognize it as touching it. When I pass through the other side, I do get the boost from leaving it though. Just something to look into. Thanks!
Thank you for playing Moon Surfing. Before you purchased the game, you were able to unlock only the first areas of the moon by playing. After the purchase, you’ll be able to unlock the entire moon – but you still have to do it by playing. That’s on purpose because the later levels are more difficult.
But I understand that this might be confusing. I’ll change the dialog in game to make it clearer.
(Here’s how you can check if the purchase was successful: The “Purchase” button in the settings screen should be greyed out and the blue area on the moon should be gone.)
Hi. Since rhe Update with Automatic level selection I‘m fixed on S005 E165 and I can‘t finish this Position (last flag does not register arrival and I’m not able to leave the level. Menu, Set, continue does not perform any reaction. Thats frustrating. Can you help? BR
Thanks you for the feedback. Please restart the app (on iOS: double tap the home button and swipe up). Like this you should be able to continue playing. To get past this area you can use the cheat menu. I’ll explain how you can access it in the next post.
I still have to find the reason for the checkpoints not registering. This bug has not happened for me so far. I’m working on it.
If you can’t get past a specific area, there’s a cheat menu: Touch all four buttons in the menu screen (“Set”, “Reset”, Settings, Return) at once to open it. Use the „Unlock next“ button to unlock the next area. Press it multiple times to unlock more areas.
Just to be sure: There is no immediate reaction when using the cheat menu. The next area is unlocked in the background and you will only see it after you close the cheat menu.
Anyway, I am working on an update right now.
Despite intensive testing, the bug(s) did not occur on my devices. But I found a likely cause. I submitted a new version (1.0.8) to Apple and expect it to be live in two days. Possibly sooner. Please let me know if it solves it.
Generally, if you encounter a problem, here’s how to reset the game:
1. Reset the app in the Settings panel
(Alternatively: Delete the app, re-download from the store, “Restore” your purchase in the settings panel)
2. Use the cheat menu (see comment above) to unlock the moon up to your current progress.

Congratulations for making it to the last level! The following tricks might help:
1. Touching right before landing gives you a speed boost (indicated by a blue circle). The amount depends on the distance of your jump.
2. Swipe left or right before jumping to make a kickflip. Use this to steer around the steep areas in the last level.

LOVE your game, buuut… I’m like 10-15 meters away to reach the last checkpoint on one level and suddenly, the screen just freeze for like two secends and thwn the whole terrain turns black and I just go straight through it. I’ve tried to turn the app off and on again and so on, but nothing works. Happens every time. Please help? iPhone 6
I found an exploit where if you bring the board parallel to a cliff and continuously slide your finger toward the direction of the clif, you can climb any vertical challenge. I’ve tested it on multiple occasions and it works every time without fail, even on the steep slopes alongside the valley of the starting level. I’m mentioning this because it takes a lot of the challenge out of the game and generally makes it feel less involved. I hope you see this and can get back to me, thanks!

Suggestion: It would be really cool if you could unlock an “Unlimited Power” board (it could perhaps have a slight purplish or teal-ish tinge to the solar panels but other wise be identical). The levels are gorgeous and I would love to be able to explore them without limitation

Sometimes when I go through a flag the +10 shows up underneath my total time but then does not actually add to it. I seems to do it when I’m cutting close on my timer (like less than 2.0 seconds left) or also when I am in the air like when I just right after going through a flag.
I finished all the free levels in less than 30 minutes. There should be more free levels because I really enjoyed this game but I don’t want to redo the levels I already completed. Thank you!!!!
Hi there, really great game! Visuals and music are awesome! Congrats. What I really don’t like are the controls. I suggest using the gyroscope for steering. Or at least to make it possible to adjust sensitivity of the controls. Right now they are very slow and doughy. Also why are there no more flags in the area after the purchase? The free levels were to easy, the first paid level is to hard without extra time.

I love this game! It’s a great break from earth as Apple said it was. There are no bugs that I’ve noticed other than the occasional game freeze while terrain generates if I stray too far off the path. I can’t afford the full moon pack so I can’t review the whole game, but I believe that price is perfectly reasonable for a game as cool as this! My only suggestion would be to add more of whatever the little word puzzles are. I’ve hit “Again” again and again. (Get it?) I also see Pixel, Tool, and Lab a lot. Keep up the great work!
I bought the full game well worth my money and it is so smooth and there hasn’t been any bugs or anything so it’s definitely worth that five star review, but I would love if you added like a sandbox or free roam mode just to explore the moon and like maybe add different styles of moon boards but like don’t change the simplicity of it because that’s one of the best qualities. This game is so beautiful and fun on my iPad Pro using the Apple Pencil. The stunning imagery when you fly through mountains blows my mind every time. You should totally do a game for each planet, etc. Did this game win an award yet? It should. I’ve played a couple hundred rounds by now and it’s glitched maybe once or twice..? It’s so seamless and the physics feel accurate. Doesn’t take long to get the hang of the basics, then you really have fun with it! Worth the buy, for sure.
I can’t figure out the last level, I’m assuming you have to surf the mountains but I only make it to 509m remaining driving me crazy.. any ideas?? I love this game!!
I have tried this stop at least 100x and can’t even ever see the moon before running out of time. Challenging … I need more time lol or need to know the correct direction to head. Tough level
Love the game, but I’m on iPhone X, and N45W160 has a checkpoint area that won’t load. I managed to find where it should be, but there’s no dome, so it won’t recognize me entering. 😪 Otherwise, very well polished and fun game!
How many levels does the free version give you? Also, you should be able to change the style of your board. Maybe make collectibles located throughout the map, and once collected, they should give you a new board.

I’m a huge fan of this game, I always enjoy playing it while listening to podcasts. Is there any further updates or are you taking anymore feedback on this game, since the last update was around a year ago? I was wondering if there could be board customization with a point system, more planets, and maybe even a friend system where you can explore together. All of this is only considering if you’re still working and taking feedback on the game though. If not, Moon Surfing is still a great game that I enjoy daily!

There are plenty of areas to explore, even in the free part of the game. Did you notice that you can rotate the moon map by dragging?

There is a free roam mode! Visit any area at the moon’s equator (e.g. S 000° E 090).
